Matching Gifts
Many companies offer a matching gift program to their employees, directors, employees' spouses or retirees as an added benefit. With these programs, a company will match an employee's gift to charitable and educational organizations. If your company has a matching gift program, you can take advantage of it by completing their matching gift form, available through the Human Resources office of your company.

Tribute Gifts
These gifts allow donors to honor a special person or event, such as a new baby, wedding, retirement, graduation, birthday or anniversary. We will send a certificate to the honoree so that he or she knows how your contribution in their name helps make a difference in the Dominican Republic.

Memorial Gifts
When you make a memorial gift, it is a thoughtful way to remember and memorialize a family member or loved one who has passed away. Gifts in memoriam offer a lasting tribute and provide you with the satisfaction of knowing your gift has helped others.

Donate Stock or Other Securities
When you transfer stocks or other securities to the Dominican Foundation, you receive a tax deduction for the fair market value. You can even designate your gift for a specific fund or purpose.

Planned Giving

In Support Of:

Haiti Relief Fund
Our partners IDDI are assisting with relief efforts in Haiti after the devasting earthquake. As most international organizations are staging their relief efforts in the Dominican Republic, IDDI will have a key role in facilitating and coordinating relief for the millions in Haiti.

Education
The Dominican Foundation is dedicated to improving access to primary school education and literacy in the rural communities of the Dominican Republic. Our partners in the Dominican Republic, IDDI, are dedicated to increasing the quality and access to education for the children throughout the Dominican Republic. The goal is to reduce the educational disparities that currently exist throughout the country, avoid dropouts, and include teacher and family participation to integrate communities in the teaching process.

Health
The Dominican Foundation is committed to providing access to healthcare for impoverished Dominicans. Our programs focus on supporting Maternal Child Healthcare, clean drinking water and sanitation projects, and building new health clinics/hospitals in rural areas. A primary objective of this program is to establish an integrated and participatory health model that reduces mortality and morbidity in children under five and women of fertile age, while involving the community in its own development.

Microenterprise
The Dominican Foundation�s partner, IDDI, supports Microenterprises through microcredit and training. IDDI's micro business programs are primarily in the slums of Santo Domingo, and entail identifying potential participants, evaluating them to determine their credit as well as training needs, and follow-up with the appropriate training. This program focuses on supporting primarily single mothers as this population group tends to be the most poor and marginalized from job opportunities.

BioSustainable Communities
In 2005,the Dominican Foundation and IDDI, founded BIOIDDI, with the purpose of developing Bio-sustainable communities. BIOIDDI will use biomass as the primary material - sugar cane, sweet sorghums, jatropha and other plants, producing energy while at the same time creating jobs and improving the environment of the island. The Dominican Foundation is focused on providing rural communities with the equipment, education and training needed to benefit from the growth of these bio-sustainable community initiatives.

MLB-DDA
The Dominican Foundation together with IDDI as the prime Dominican organization, has launched a US campaign to support Major League Baseball�s Dominican Development Alliance (MLB-DDA). The purpose of the Alliance is to use baseball as a catalyst for improving the lives of the less fortunate in the Dominican Republic through sound community development activities. The primary goals are to improve the quality of basic education; improve community public health increase opportunities for �at-risk� Dominican youth to learn the life skills; and increase economic activity.
